The ultimate betrayal: Eric Fehr lifts Stanley Cup in White House

This morning, the Pittsburgh Penguins visited the White House today to meet with President Barack Obama and celebrate their Stanley Cup win.

The ceremony began with a quip from President Obama.

“We are here to celebrate an extraordinary achievement,” Obama said, before spewing hot magma at Maple Leafs fans. “Phil Kessel is a Stanley Cup champion.”

The President’s speech continued as he praised the team and he was presented with a #44 Penguins jersey. Ugh.

As the day progressed, more photos began to emerge of the players during their visit. Of all the photos that came to light, there was one of former Washington Capital Eric Fehr that, I can’t lie, hurt. It hurt deep.

He looks so happy and I am so sad. But, congratulations to Eric Fehr, you deserve it and we still love you… begrudingly.

Also in attendance was former Caps player Steve Oleksy with his black eye.

And ready for his White House visit, Coach Sullivan dressed the part.
